Typical GMS Scope to Maximize the Value of Rights
1) Establishing fact base for the sports across television, online and radio
- Understanding the structure and historical requirements of the sport in terms of audience exposure and broadcasting revenues
- Understanding the current sports rights contracts and specifically how they may impact future rights
- auditing the historical performance across time-slots, ratings, overseas sales and halo-effects;
- evaluating prior contracts—term of contract, warranties, options, new media inclusion and overall commitment and performance of broadcaster;
- the sports inventory—what is it that you are selling—FTA, subscriptions, DVD, pay-per-view, new media, internet, telephony, carve-outs for sponsors, post cards, CSA's, clean feeds, match-day technoloy?

4) Call for formal submissions and review from potential broadcasters

5) Negotiation with prioritized broadcasters
- Negotiation terms and conditions with preferred parties
6) Selection of preferred broadcaster by geography and finalize contractual terms
- Develop final contract and sign contract
